Frequently asked questions about digital loyalty cards

Everything you need to know about LoyPass.

What is LoyPass?

LoyPass is a digital loyalty solution for independent shops. Your customers add their card straight into Apple Wallet or Google Wallet, and you scan a QR code on each visit to add stamps or points.

What is a digital loyalty card?

A digital loyalty card replaces the paper punch card with a card saved in the customer's phone (Apple Wallet or Google Wallet). They always have it on them and can't lose it, and you update it remotely. With LoyPass it's added by scanning a QR code — no app to install.

How much does LoyPass cost?

LoyPass costs €29 per month, everything included: unlimited customers, Apple & Google Wallet cards, push notifications, analytics dashboard and priority support. No hidden fees, no commitment. VAT not applicable (French tax code, art. 293 B).

Am I tied in if I subscribe?

No. LoyPass has no commitment: you can cancel any time from your dashboard. We also offer a 14-day money-back guarantee — if LoyPass isn't right for you within the first 14 days, email contact@loypass.fr and we refund you in full.

How do my customers sign up?

They scan a QR code that's unique to your shop (displayed at the counter or shared online), enter their name and email, and the card is added to their mobile wallet automatically. Nothing to download.

Does it work on iPhone and Android?

Yes. On iPhone the card goes into Apple Wallet, on Android into Google Wallet. Both are supported natively.

Stamps or points — what's the difference?

Stamps are simple: one visit, one stamp; after X stamps the customer gets their reward. Points give you more room: you set how many points a visit earns and where the reward threshold sits.

How do I scan my customers?

Open the scanner from your LoyPass dashboard and scan the QR code on your customer's wallet card. The stamp or points are added instantly.

How do push notifications work?

You can send messages straight to your customers' phones through their wallet card. It shows up as an ordinary notification, with an open rate far above email.

How do automatic Google reviews work?

After a scan, your customer automatically receives a notification inviting them to leave a Google review. You can turn this on or off in your settings.

Can I customise my card?

Yes, completely. You choose the card name, the colours (background and text), your logo, the programme type (stamps or points) and the reward. You see it all in a live preview as you go.

How do I cancel my subscription?

From your dashboard, go to Settings and click Manage subscription. You'll be taken to the Stripe portal where you can cancel in one click. No commitment.

Is my data secure?

Yes. LoyPass runs on Supabase (secure cloud infrastructure), every connection is HTTPS-encrypted, and payment is handled by Stripe. We store no card details.

Do I need an app or any hardware?

No. Your customers install nothing — the card goes straight into Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. On your side there's no hardware to buy: you scan your customers' QR codes from your own smartphone, through the LoyPass dashboard.

Is LoyPass GDPR-compliant?

Yes. LoyPass is published in France, data is hosted in the European Union (Frankfurt, Germany) and processed in line with the GDPR. Connections are HTTPS-encrypted, payments are handled by Stripe and no card details are stored. A data processing agreement (DPA) is available at loypass.fr/dpa.

Which businesses is LoyPass suited to?

Any local business that wants its customers back: coffee shops, restaurants, bakeries, hair salons, beauty salons, florists, food trucks and more. If you can reward loyalty, LoyPass fits your programme — in stamps or in points.

Is LoyPass an alternative to the paper punch card?

Yes. LoyPass replaces the paper card — the one people forget or lose — with a card that's always in the customer's phone. You also gain push notifications, automatic Google review requests and a dashboard to see what's working, none of which paper can do.
